Who I’m Calling In.

I Raised Money From 30,000 People and Still Felt Alone in the Room

The night we closed the biggest raise of my life, the room was full and I felt alone. Here’s the problem I’m solving this year — and who I’m calling in to solve it with me.

The night we closed, the wire cleared and the number I’d chased for years finally showed up on the screen. The room was full. And I felt something I didn’t expect: alone.

Not because anyone there was bad. Because not one of them was building anything. They were there for the result. I was still standing in the work.

I raised money from 30,000 people and I still felt alone in the room. That’s not a humblebrag. That’s the problem I’m solving this year.

Why now

I believe there’s a 90-day window in front of me — and probably in front of you.

I’m building AI into every level of my company, and I’ve given myself 90 days to do it. Not because it’s trendy. Because AI as a feature is already past tense. In six to twelve months, AI is infrastructure. Today you pay a firm to integrate it into your ecosystem. Tomorrow, someone asks the AI and it stands up a company that looks just like yours — overnight. That’s what we need to worry about, and it’s also the opening: move now and you put real distance between yourself and the competition. Wait, and I’m not sure you have a business at the end of it.

I sound like a broken record on this. I’d rather sound like a broken record than watch good operators get passed.

I’m up against titans with my own platform. The window is short, and I can’t run that sprint with the wrong people around me. The circle I have isn’t the circle I’m building with.

Who I’m calling in

Gen X operators running $5M to $50M businesses. The guys in the game — staying up at night over payroll and HR and a changing environment, writing the checks, signing personally, bringing your own name and your own house in as collateral, and keeping your word when it cost you. You’re constantly recalibrating and optimizing the business, because business, at the end of the day, is Darwinist. You know who you are.

Who I’m not calling in

I’m not looking for students. I’m not looking for gurus. I’m not looking for influencers. I’m looking for good old-fashioned hardworking operators. If you’ve got a side hustle and you check the surf before you check the business, this isn’t for you.

The bar isn’t follower count. It’s weight carried.

And watch out for the charlatans. A lot of people are talking about AI at a very high level right now, and underneath it nothing is actually working. Receipts before claims.

The proof I’m standing on

Building since the 90s. A platform that raised from 30,000 investors and placed close to a billion dollars. Every market cycle since — survived, restarted, still in business while most of the people I started with aren’t. People ask why they should listen to me. Because through different market cycles, I see opportunity. The endurance is the credential, and it earned me the right to be selective about who I build with next.

What this is — and what it isn’t

This is not a mastermind. Not a course — I killed those on purpose. It’s a real circle of operators, peer to peer. No guru and no students. I’m implementing this in my own company first — agents, org charts, the whole machine — and I’ll share exactly how I did it, what worked and what didn’t. I can be a sounding board for you, and you for me. Value moves in every direction.

It’s about more than the money. It’s about being in the arena together — the ups and the downs, the day-to-day fires you can’t predict, and showing up as the best version of yourself anyway.

The 90-day challenge

The Challenge

Take the next 90 days and build AI into your business while I build it into mine.

Compare notes. Share the day-to-day challenges. Push your team while I push mine.

If this is you, you already feel it. DM me “operator” and we’ll talk — operator to operator. The full episode drops Monday, and over the next four weeks I’ll lay out the standard, the cost of going it alone, and the bet I’m asking a few of you to make with me.

I’m not building an audience. I’m rebuilding a tribe.

Quick Answers

Why did closing a major raise feel empty?

Because the room was full of people there for the result, not the work. Success without a circle of fellow builders is an empty win — the result gets celebrated and the builder stands alone in it. That gap between achievement and belonging is the problem this whole arc is about.

What is the 90-day AI window?

AI as a feature is already past tense; within six to twelve months it becomes infrastructure. Operators who integrate AI into their business now put real distance between themselves and the competition. Operators who wait risk competing against AI-built companies that stand up overnight. Ninety days is the implementation sprint, not the trend cycle.

Who is this circle for?

Gen X operators running $5M to $50M businesses — the ones signing personally, sweating payroll, and keeping their word when it costs them. The bar isn’t follower count. It’s weight carried.

Is this a mastermind or a course?

Neither. Courses got killed on purpose. This is a peer-to-peer circle of operators — no guru, no students. Everyone implements in their own company, everyone shares what worked and what didn’t, and value moves in every direction.

Why listen to Craig Cecilio on this?

Building since the 90s. A platform that raised from 30,000 investors and placed close to a billion dollars. Survived every market cycle since and still in business while most of the people he started with aren’t. The endurance is the credential.

How do I take the 90-day challenge?

Build AI into your business over the next 90 days while Craig builds it into his. Compare notes, share the day-to-day challenges, push your team. If it’s you, DM “operator” — operator to operator.

I’m not building an audience. I’m rebuilding a tribe.
